The periodic examination (inspection) and test of any equipment that falls under the scope of PSSR 2000 is a legal requirement – you cannot operate the equipment unless it has been examined and passed safe at the intervals defined within the equipments Written Scheme.
If equipment has not been examined (inspected) and the date for examination has passed, the system must not be used until an examination has been carried out.
Our supply system inspection and test package includes:
If you already have a Written Scheme of Examination for your equipment, or once we have produced one for you, we can arrange for it to be inspected (examined) and tested.
The cost for us to carry out the inspection and test can only be assessed once we have sight of an accurate schematic diagram; this will be contained in the Written Scheme. If we have prepared the Written Scheme for you we will have this information, if you already have a Written Scheme simply send it to us and we’ll be able to give you a price for this service.
Please click here to contact us or ring on 01270 758890 to arrange an inspection and test.
In addition to having your supply system inspected and tested as detailed above, you should also periodically have your distribution pipework tested. Certain components of the pipework may also need to be renewed. British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) Code of Practice CP23 states that pipework that is downstream of a regulator or relief device is not subject to a Written scheme of Examination but does require regular maintenance and pressure testing.
